Based in Ghent, Lien Wauters has always been captivated by the realms of architecture, theatre, dance, fashion and art.
After graduating from Sint Lucas Ghent, Interiorarchitecture she complemented her studies with a degree in Scenography at POPOK Antwerp. The first years after graduating she worked for various dance and theatre companies.
In 2008 she had the opportunity to design the scenography of an exhibition at Modemuseum Hasselt. The ensuing collaboration and the enthusiastic acclaim marked a pivotal moment, establishing her career as an exhibition designer. She worked out the design of several exhibitions for renowned institutions such as Kunsthal Rotterdam, MAS Antwerp, Museum Plantin Moretus, Sint Pietersabdij, a.o.
She works on every project with a very personal approach, trying to tell a story that is at least as important as the design of it.
Lien teaches at Luca School of Arts Brussels and Ghent at the Interior Design Department.
